decided im going fishing sunday the 1st of feb going to leave southend around 8am and head to the black jeti for the day should get there for around 8.45-9am. be heading home probley the last train probley 12ish have to check on the train time tables first. hopefully the weather will be kind... because its such a mission for me to get down there thats y i have decided to be there for the long haul!! (i hate not driveing ) be great if 1 or 2 others fancy it, or even few hours. be nice to get a decent cod or a good handfull of tasty dabs any1 fancie it pop up a post and let me know

Dean, I was down there today. Great day weather wise, sunshine, no wind , water like a pond but alas no fish.
I had a few bites and I think they were small dabs because when I reeled in nothing there on my big 3/0 hook.
Hope you do better.

Hi Dean,i could be up for that i'll have to check with the mrs that we haven't got anything on but hopefully i'll be able to make it,won't be able to stay that late but probably stay till late afternoon.at the moment weathers looking ok,no rain anyway.

We went to walton pier instead (thanks for the advice westy).We arrived at 730am was slow going on the top right corner i had first fish a codling scrapeing 2.5lb at 230pm then at 5pm we moved to top left corner which had produced about 12 coddling between 5 anglers and straightaway dean had a 2lb coddling .We left at 730pm the total was dean two coddling me four coddling was a great day with good company |

Dean was using lug or squid i was using whole squid and lug cocktails.If our trip on the 8th gets cancelled i recommend we fish walton pier  |

whole squid was catching just as much as worm so dnt think u will have a problem with just sqidd macer. like jason said was a good day out think next time i will take my sledge.....  |
