met up with jason and mick before 5, met fugazzi and grieg wwr also before 5!!!! parked up and met pete his buddy and the skipper...........some time later (around 7ish i think lol) dean and his brother ambled along the quay suprise

no seriously we were all aboard by 5.15 set off to the south side of the river (the dark side) where we well and truly felt the force.......tide was ripping through!!! we starting fishing and i think griegwwr bagged first, i think we had a couple over that side before tide got the better of us and we moved back across to our native side, was quite funny really to end up just of the point in CANVEY!! moved a couple of times as the cod were not playing or bottom could not be held. conehead picked up a codling bang on 4lb which ended up being the biggest (landed lol) of the day. fugazzi bagged a codling 1oz short of the money and i had a 3lb 12oz. dean and his brother had a pout each and a fish tougue mick who was staring a blank in the face allllllllll day suddenly surged throught the pain barrier and knotched up a respectable 5 takers.

cabrat sufferd badly all day from an all out attack on just about everything we could think of...ok i could think of devil

if he offers to tell you how he makes his special rubbydubby respectfully decline!!!! bring on the boat1 v boat2 battle we have nothing to fear cool

bacon butties went down well too.

scores on the doors
mick (non forum) 5 codling
fugazzi 4 codling
me 3 codling
conehead 2 codling inc the biggest.
griegwwr 2 codling
dean a pout katie price would be proud of.
deans bro.... a pout and a codling.
petes mate 2 codling? i think
pete zip
and craptain crabbait nothing worried however he had very big shoulders and took it like a man.

i would like to say that the one that got away WAS THE BIGGEST AND YOU ALL KNOW IT crying

Col,
Good report (shame you didn't see the post I opened for reports though!!)
Shame about the one that got away but hey I blame the operator not the equipment. Please don't tell me it snapped you off ???
Sounds like poor ol Cabrat took some stick but it WAS his first ever boat trip and it is so much different to beach or pier fishing.
It was nice to see you all had a good day though. I regret that I couldn't be there now but we can't have everything in life. Maybe the next boat trip whenever that may be.
I hear Dover fishes well from the boats.
There is a thought.
Great photos.
Col, I like your new sas flotation suit...lmao.

Well spotted Macer,

I had to resort to several finger gestures as well as having to defend myself from the Kopite onslaught.

Mind you he was ever so quiet up to gone dinner time till he caught his first fish.

After that it was like open season on cabrat
And for all those who saw the posted remark about the one that got away?????
Yes Col had you actually landed the fish you would of walked away with best fish no problem.......
It swam past me (laughing its head off) after snapping your rig line, it must of been a double figure beast LOL.

What was it said later to mick when he cracked on casting don't worry mate "It happens to the best of us"

Well so does not landing the biggest fish of the day LOL rolling on the floor

I know bit out of sinque but i havePut the pics and the posting I did yestaerday on this thread (I Know how col likes to keep every thing ship shape LOL
