Was thinking about having a fishing camp-out weekend next year.
Just putting it out there for some thoughts.
I was thinking somewhere we could camp-out near a good fishing spot, set-up a BBQ and loads of beer.
What more could you want for a weekend.
Was thinking about friday night, saturday, come back sunday late afternoon /evening.
Don't mind travelling, so does anyone have any ideas?

Your on the same track as me, I was talking to someone yesterday about doing it. My two places are Saundersfoot area near Tenby, or the N/east coast between Scarborough and Bridlington, which is too far for you i know, But hopefully i can get someone interested near me. Good luck with it, hope you get it set up. Tightlines..Mick |

Does this weekend away mean just men only - as you have only been a member for a short while I think maybe you dont realise there are women in the Thames Estuary 'crew'. I'm not too keen on the beer, but like dry cider now and again!!

Isn't Kings Holiday Park next to Canvey sea wall? |

Open to anyone and everyone.
Not just members, partners are welcome too (as long as they are not easily offended)
I have met you on the Thames meet (before you got the nickname!)
Can we make this a sticky?

Was thinking maybe a bit further away. what about mersea island (near Colchester), or somewhere like Poole.

if you get lots of positive feed back (as you have already) and a definate plan in place then i will make it a sticky. however, there are lots of faces on here already, from all over the shop so may be better in the general section. if you are travelling far and wide and for a weekend you may get interest outside of our normal "client" base lol.
once you have a clear idea in mind matt p.m. it to me and i will post it for you |

To be honest I was looking at a thames/south/south eastern/south western meet.
Was not looking at going all the way up north, we could also look at Plymouth, Torquay, Isle of white etc.
I just want some mates, some good fishing, and a right old laugh.
Looks like we have some possibles, so what kind of area was others thinking about?

Come on peeps, some of you must have a good idea where to set up camp near the coast for some fishing.
