Come on guys lets get back to the original topic of the post which was how doyou stop birdies happening on a multi NOT which is better a multi or f/s. We all have our opinions on this and if you want we can arrange a debate in the chat room one night to discuss this. But here know is not the time for that. Flyingthistle asked for some advice and apart from the first few replies all he has since is a lot of bickering. Come on guys lets help this poor fellow out.

Your reel might be cheap but is based on a simple and reliable design - it won't last as long as the old ABU 6000 and 6500 reels but the design is almost identical and in new condition it should cause you no problems.
The simple answer to your problems is to get some proper casting lessons as its more than likely that your problems are down to poor casting style rather than a problem with the reel .... any casting instructor will get you started with some casting and proper set up of your reel and tackle withing an hour or two, and most charge a pittance for their service.
If you get a 100 answers on here you will probably get 100 opinions about what to do .... way too many "expert" cooks for any kitchen - an hour on the field with an instructor (who will no doubt prove his skills to you on the field) will be worth a hundred of these threads quite frankly. |
