I use braid on some of my casting reels but it is not for the uninitiated.

Its ok on a multiplier boat reel and ok for use on a fixed spool but if you ever get a birds nest on a casting multiplier then yoiu have a nightmare of a job. Cheers keith big grin big grin big grin big grin

i usually use ultima distance in yellow, 15lb and .35m on my FS and multi. i tried using suffix synergy in red, 18lb .35m a while back and got a lot of crack offs on the FS with it so went back to the ultima.
its cheap, about £5 for 900 yards on ebay but 13euro in ireland. rip off or what.
i got some berkley big game clear 15lb yesterday for snoods. thats .39m i think so might be better for practicing on a multi.

Okuma Ultramax hi-viz yellow. Highly reliable, long life (had some on for over a year) and inexpensive - why pay more?
