been pondering this for some while now and cabrat (dave n kel) teased me over the edge with a similar request. which was then amplified by coneheads jetty steps pics
the idea is simple.......(sorrry matt!! ask a friend lol) when you take ya gear, rods flask food beer fags..........take a CAMERA!!!!! lol
couple of pics, high tide, low tide etc any relevant features and maybe we can build a pictorial library of the marks we love and hate. then when you are looking to fish a new venue it might help just a bit. we are also seeing quite a few google or similar airial views put on. these are also very very usefull.
cheers all |

Hi m8 good idea I think, also you could put details of car parks local shops etc.. a little bit of information about venues will make the fishing safer and easier for everyone |

Just a quick post showing the black jetty. Orange lines represent areas with railings and that are fishable, blue represents no railings.

Couple of sat images of The Barge Pier in Shoebury/Thorpe Bay.
Can park along Ness Road which is where the green X is.
I've marked where to walk through the park, its unmade track but fairly level. Sometimes towards the end they but metal fencing up but usually there is a gap. Otherwise there is some permanently collapsed older fencing which I have marked in blue. Couple of foot jump over the sea wall and your at the pier. I have always fished on the western side and never had any snags. There are some sleepers and other snags elsewhere tho. Will try and return to grab some pics in the day at the weekend when the tide is out. This mark cannot be fished at low water.
