Here is my little baby , have changed the deck layout since the pics were taken , she now has two seats up front, benches either side and a rubber deck , ideal for a day out fishing. She has a 3ltr engine for a bit of fun if the fishings not that good. Currently moored at Hartlepool Marina

well this is my seahog ,i launch her off the beach at skegness boating club compound, fishing here is pretty good and i am sure its going to get better every year now with the clusters of wind turbines recently put up around the coast, shellfish etc will establish around the bases of the turbines.mackeral have already started shoaling around them in the summer bringing them in closer than before.the water gets deeper as you go north to ingloldmels+chapel+huttoft etc.with a lot of the boats heading this way.we catch cod, whiting, flatties, dogs, hounds, tope, thornbacks, bass, etc. |

I have a Merry Fisher 625 boat based at Yacht Haven Quay, Plymouth, but I have never been sea fishing (apart from catching a few mackrel with feathers!) and I would love to start but I need someone to show me the basics.
I am yachtmaster qualified. I took the boat round Britain last year so the boating isn't an issue but I need someone who can catch fish and show me how to.
Am available weekdays or weekends as self employed.
If you fancy a days fishing and don't mind helping out a complete newbie then PM me. I supply the boat and fuel... you supply the fishing expertise.
BTW I am not the beauty looking at the camera... I am the ugly one at the helm! Just in case you got the wrong idea!!! I wuldn't want to disappoint you

Welcome to the forum. I expect you will be deluged with contacts after an offer like that, ugly one or not!
To be fair the boating aspect is the more demanding of the two aspects of boat fishing. I am sure one of the boat owners local to your area will get in touch soon to assist you. Have a troll through the locations on the register here to see where the nearest is and pm them. I wish I was local to you, I would love to join you and help with your venture into angling. George. |

finally done a pic lol
21ft morebas 2 birth cruiser which is moored at newhaven .
she is more of a cruiser but a comfortable fisher she does about 30knts which is fine for me and is powered by a 120hp mercruiser inboard engine.
i purchased her for £2500 but the asking price was £4750 and i noticed the guy was really hard up for cash (i know very heartless of me)
all that needed doing was an exhaust boot £16 and have had no troubles
whatsoever with her very reliable and very stable in the rough seas.
now the season is starting i have the leg off and am replacing drive bellows etc
is there any budding merc mechanics near by that wanna help
