Returning to sea fishing after a 15 year break , bought a cheap beachcaster to while away a few hours when on holiday ...
and got the bug bad again now !
Dont know if its the onset of senility but I seem to have forgotten way more than I remember about this fishing lark , thank god for the internet and sites like this one .
Hope to see some you very knowlegeable folk over the coming winter .

Hi Andy, I have just returned to fishing after a near 20 year break. I just cant believe how advanced everything is nowadays. I can only compare it as from going back from a Ford Mondeo to a Mk 2 Escort but after reading this forum I'm getting good info..... doubt anyone can help me with my 50% reduction in casting distance tho |

Hi Andy mate, there are a lot of people on this forum who are coming back to fishing after a long break. I myself started fishing again this July after a break of more than 17 years, and thanks to the very friendly bunch on this forum, I am getting back into the swing of things pretty rapidly. I am quite sure you will aswell mate. |
