Hi, i just bought these from the asian supermarket in Bradford. The big one is around 6in long, the other about 3in long, though they do vary in size, There are about 30 biguns, and 50 to 60 littluns. I am going going to try them out next time, the idea being, if i dont catch static, i might tempt something on the retrieve. I will let you know how i get on, By the way, big were £2.00 a pack, little £1.49 a pack, cheap bait. big grin

Hi Mick, the long fish is called a "fata Baim" and the little one is called a "chelapata". I eat both these fish quite often but never fished with them here in the uk. They both originate from the country of my birth Bangladesh, the long one is sometimes used in Bangladesh as live bait for catching big Catfish with great results. Good luck and let us know how you get on with them. happy

PS. The long one may have dorsal spines, so be careful.

Thanks sam, now ya tell me big grin and your quite right about the species, I didnt put the names on because it would mean diddly squat to most of us. I chose the bigun because its similar to a sandeel, and the littlun because its easy to see, I will be fishing clear water so being highly visible is half the battle. I will certainly let you know how it goes, if its a success its cheaper than going to the bait shop. And im taking some on the boat trip to see if it works, if it does ive cracked it, if not, i tried and will look for something else. I cant seem to stop trying new things, it adds to the fishing experience. big grin Tightlines..Mick

hi, i dont know, simply because nothing has worked the last 3 or 4 trips out, i used them with lug, mussel, crab, squid, macky, etc etc, and blanked, so until i catch something with the other baits and not with them, i cant say. sad
