Hi all.
Haven't been able to get on here for a while had problems with this pooy computer connection! NTL are GRRREAAATT (NOT!)
Did fish Aldburgh couple of weeks back and was pretty hard going. Thanks for advice ASH!! he he ( only kidding matey) Soz has taken ages to get back but been a nightmare with this computer but all sorted now!
Although it was brilliant to get out was a long way to go just for a couple of tiny cod but was great to get out any how but a! Thats fishing for ya!
You just never know!!!
I do however know that it looks like catch reports are showing some half decent cod kicking up from over that way now so might have to have another mission again soon.
Anyone been over east coast recently around that area?? Any good??
Tight lines all! Speak soon |

Hi Dave, shame you did not fare too well. Aldeburgh had not fished at all well to my knowledge, but then from a couple of weeks back codling started to be caught quite frequently. Not in great numbers, but I am aware of several people who have had one or two per session, up to about four odd pounds.
Funnily enough, with the arrival of bigger tides the fishing seems to have gone right off in this area ( Suffolk/Norfolk ish ). I have just spent a week or so in both counties and had three sessions. Total results: nothing at Mundesley last Thursday. Nothing at Benacre in Suffolk on Monday afternoon and evening and one undersize bass at Benacre during the day on Tuesday. Not bad eh! About fourteen hours fishing and one undersize bass. Who says beach fishing ain't productive!!!!!!! |

P.s that is where he told me he was fishing so no reason to disbelieve him. Fairly straight, reliable type of guy. |

Hi Dave, see that you have just posted on my local ish site. Saxmundham normally seems good bait, although I have only ever had ragworm from him. Frinton wall has been showing up codling and odd sizeable bass. Clacton way ditto. Do not know if this is too far out of the way for you. Had you been nearer, I could have dug you some when I went digging. Anyway good luck and want to hear of your sizeable fish when you get back. |

Hey matey.
Thanks for that. Will give him a call and hopefully he will be open tomorrow. Unfortunately anywhere i go is a bloddy mission.
Long way from the sea unfortunately thats why its great to hear from people like yourself to help me out.
Its hard when your not on the scene and you go for one off's every now and then.
It always seems to be the bits in between when the fish come out then when my chance comes their gone again!! LOL! DOH!
Any how will give it a go tomorrow and see what happens.
I used to get out more i see your in Essex area i used to live in Hertfordshire so my local was walton pier way or southend.
Had a few good sessions.
Take care and hope you do well over weekend matey!
Will also post report and will lokk out for urs! |

Ok Dave, good luck. Think I got it bad but three odd hours, wow!.Yeah it was the same for me. Went to Norfolk for the last week or so and fished Kessingland/Benacre for two days on the way back. The fish had been coming out from here since I don't know when. The fishing seemed to go off a a day or two before I arrived. Pakefield has been very consistent and they are still pulling some out there to my knowledge. Just check out the catch reports at www.leader-lines.com and you will see what I meant about Kessingland/Pakefield etc.. Tight lines... |

hey Ash,
Just register their today. Found that the other evening and was looking at the catch reports for Pakefield funnily enough!!
Was thinking about giving it a bash but looking at recent reports and seems like its tailing off their.
Trouble is who do you believe?? he he! :?
Dont mind fishing snags either. Am used to rough ground as most of my sea fishing is done in the North east and thats about all their is up there!!
Will let you know where i end up. As i said before my concern is bait as it is bank holiday and all that.
Worst case is I stay over sat eve too so i get bit of bait sat morning!
Sure that wont be to sad a!! he he |
