Hi,
I have been sea fishing for the last couple of years and havent been that successful. I have caught 4 species , makerel, garfish, small ray, pouting but what i am really after is Billy Bass. I have mainly taught myself from reading info on the internet. The guys at Brighton Marina tackle shop are always helpful.
I work shift work and have days off during the week so would like to find similar fishing friends to help expand my knowledge.
I live in London and visit Brighton Marina most of the time as it has good parking facilities. Would like to find other places to fish!
If you would like to take me under your wing and share your fishing stories please get in touch.
thanks
sarah |

Hi Steve
thanks for replying , i see you live in sherringham.. I have fished there before on a very cold day and the only thing i caught was frostbite.
My parents have a cottage near hunstanton so i like to go up there when i can. Would like to keep in contact and maybe we could meet when you next go and i am free.
cheers |

Hi sarah.
Seaford beach has Billy Bass.
Try a One down rig With a side of Mackeral.
About 30 Yards out. At the salt. Seaford seafront you can park for free.
Good Luck Brown |

Hi Sarah
Where in London are you? I am in Enfield N. London.
I try to get fishing when I can. I travel down to Folkestone pier for day and night fishing.
How often do you go?

Hello and welcome to the forum sarah.
When you stay at your parents in Hunstanton next year, travel to cromer pier because live baiting for bass can be very productive during the July to September period. Just use mini hokkais to catch joey mackerel or sandeels for your livebaits. And good luck. |

Hi Sarah.
Im resonably new to fishing and fish at Kingston beach in Southwick/Shoreham which is near brighton (used to live in Bton).
Ive been successful every time with the bass,a nice 2-3 pounder a month ago.
You dont have to cast very far out there.
Have had some nice flatties aswell from there.
Im using a 2 hook rig with rag/lugworm.
Was supposed to be going today at mid day but the weather is rubbish at the mo so not sure what the fishing will be like.
Along shoreham beach is meant to be good too.
Not too sure how long the bass stay around for at this time of year.
Good luck for next time you are down this way.
Drop me a message next time you are fishing here an i could show you where ive been getting Billy Bass.
Phil. |

Hi Sarah and welcome, I normally fish down around Hythe, Dungeness or Deal travell down from near jun 8 M25.
Not got a fantastic knowledge on fishing but like you starting to get a little more clued up.
Whats Brighton fish like one of my fishing buddies says he wants to fish it but didnt think it was all that when I fished it last.

Sarah and FishingKiss
Looks like we could start a little group to go fishing with.
I go to Dover and Folkestone (prefer Folkestone pier) I try to go at least once a month.
