| How long is a kayak rod? Is it specific for the job? if not there are a lot of short rods out there. |

Have a look on ebay,type boat rods in the search bar.
There are a few on there it will give you an idea of lengths,manufacturers and models 
Rabbi2....they are specific rods for the job,mainly about 5ft and some are telescopic

| Thanks Darren its just that I have never come accross them before as I have never had the interest in that side of fishing. We live and learn somat new every day lol |

| Ive got a sea touring kayak and use a 6ft boat rod and find that just fine. I previouly bot a very short kayak rod but it felt like a toy. |
