| hi guys need an answer to a question, does anyone know if samphire hoe is fishable on a low tide? I have never fished it before and was thinking of going for a few hours this evening. Any help most welcome, thanks. |

| well today it was 2pounds parking and 2 pounds to fish i got there no rod with me just taking a 74 year old mate out for a drive to cheer him up. Wished I hade a rod and some feathers, because it would have been mackerel for dinner. I hate to say the people that fish Samphire Hoe appear to be barbaric B-----stds. In my life I have done a lot of shooting and fishing but NEVER EVER have I left anything to suffer. The fish caught at Samphire Hoe were left to flap about on the concrete or thrown in a bucket gasping for air. This is not necessary it just gets fishermen a bad name. If I had been from Anti blood-sports I'd have a field day with my cam-corder. Despite this - the mackerel are there to be caught not huge but a reasonable size this I witnessed at about 4pm today 23.07.08. |

I can relate to this as I was just along from you on Shakespear and saw the same all the fish I caught were dispatched quickly and humanely not left to flap about. |
