Has anyone ever used the Suffolk tide table published by Lucas books?
I bought one and the time differs from the bbc tide table, and is it not a straight hour it can be 52 mins or 67 mins.
Can I trust this publication? |

I 've bought them for 2007 and 2008 and they're both rubbish. Won't be buying them again. Use the BBC or easytide from the admirality. Seems like you can't predict tides too far ahead i.e. a year !!

well i have found them spot on , well with in a few minutes, just double checked todays for harwich and both read the same.
one thing you have to remeber is that the lucas books add bst for you but the bbc tide table is all in gmt so you have to add an hour, that is were the error lies.
all tide tables are only predictions every day can be as much as 20 mins either way due to weather condtions ect. |
