Hi all,
Just to say Hi and a big thanks to some locals from Weymouth and indeed Weymouth angling centre.
I moved down to Weymouth 4 weeks ago from Swindon and never sea fished before (always chubbing on the rivers), although I still want to fish freshwater I always wanted to try casting into the blue.
So after settling in the our new abode I headed of to Weymouth angling centre and was very happy with their help and the goods they sold me to get me started.
Taking advice I have had a dabble of the pier and had some Mackerel and Ballan Wrasse with was good fun and the locals were very friendly and didn't keep any secrets about good spots and baits etc (unlike in a lot off coarse venues I have attended).
I am medically retired but have found sea angling easier than coarse as I don't have to carry so much stuff and travel miles down riverbanks.
I may ask some questions over time but will try not to bug you all
all the best

Thank you for the very warm welcome,
At the moment I am just going to dabble a bit of the stone pier in Weymouth and learn a bit more about Sae Angling but I really want to doing some spinning for Bass soon as this looks very exciting but can this be done effectively around Weymouth or would you suggest other areas close to be better ?
thanks
