hiya lads....
coming down to newquay next month to a campsite thats near holywell bay and was wondering if there is any where that i could have a chance at catching a ray or two?
i was thinking about fishing the beach at holywell at night is this a good idea ?
any info would be great! |

| I don't do much much beach fishing and haven't tried Holywell bay. There is plenty of venues nearby, try this website for ideas http://www.zen18975.zen.co.uk/ . Some venues are snaggy so expect to lose some tackle. Blue Anchor is sandy so you could try there. Good luck. |

thought there be more replys than this does no1 else fish around newquay or even of the charter boats there.?

| I havn't fished Holywell for lots of years, mind you I havn't fished anywhere for lots of years, but will change that soon i hope. But i remember catching a fair few bass to good size from there , and also a mate of mine has caught Ray from there in the past, if memory serves me correct using sand eel. There are a lot of Fishing marks arround the Newquay area. i also remember a Cove near crantock called "porth joke" where we used to catch the odd bass. Sorry I can't be of much help but my fishing was limited to walking distance from home mostly. |
