|

Hey all i have a question for you all, i am looking to buy a new rod/reel for this summer and just needed a bit of advise / guidance.
What i am after is a strong spinning rod which can adapt to a light ledger/float outfit. I've been watching the fishing on the edge series and saw Henry using just the thing but wasn't sure what it was.
The thought of being mobile with a light rod appeal's to me and it would make packing the car on days out with the family a lot easier (2 kids under 3 take a lot of gear with them )
Any help would be very welcome |

| Hi Mate, My buddy has had one of the Salt Spin Rods for about a year. It casts surprisingly well, I have seen him cast it well over 100 yds; he is very happy with it. Uses it mainly for mack bashing and casting bass lures. |

| Don`t forget that you can get a good quality carbon carp rod for not a lot of money (especially second hand ) and they are good for most light beach work and at a push will drop a whole mackerel in bass range. |

| Have a look at the carp stalking rods in your local tackle shop, I have a free spirit 9'6 stalking rod that sounds ideal for what you are looking for. |
