hi all, am new to the forum and pretty much new to sea fishing, caught the bug out in new zealand and couldnt wait to get on it when i got home, sadly home is cambridge which isnt even remotely salty!! my grandad lives in woodbridge near ipswich so am going to use his place as a base and head down to the nearest spot ive seen mentioned on here which would be shingle street. am after any advice that you fellows have got on that location. mainly wanted to know the best times to go, wanted to avoid all night fishing if possible but am willing to get up early (3 or 4 am) if need be to catch some fish!!, is it high tide when it will be best for fishing or low?
in new zealand we just used squid as bait, would that be a good bait to use here as an all rounder? im after anything really but something tasty like a bass or mackerel would be awesome, also if anyone knows, wheres the nearest place to shingle street to get good bait?
well thanks in advance, look forward to your replies
