i thought macky didnt bite in the rain, how wrong i was, stood on the end of scarborough pier in a monsoon like storm last night i was just about to go home when i thought i'd give the spinner a go... 1st cast the rod dipped n out came a macky about 9 inches long.. at last i got one big enough to eat!! peppered macky for supper n it tasted beautiful! got another dozen or so then the chaos stopped as soon as it started so i packed up n came home and had a good supper and took the fillets off the smaller ones for bait. big grin

wehey, nice one oddjob. i agree, i think fresh mackerel are one of the tastiest fish going. a lot of people have told me that you need a sunny day and a high tide for them but i saw people taking bags last week on a cloudy day and a low tide of 1.5m. i suppose if the fish are hungry they`re gonna feed...
