| Just had the level wind go wrong on this reel. On stripping it down I found that the worm gear has a brass cog at the end of it, this meshes in with another cog which is plastic. Needless to say half ... |

| They are very good reel. Lower gearing than the later models but very sound and capable of good distances in the right hands. If you want to get a better grip of the spool then remove the level wind ... |

I think the short answer to your question is no. It is not a cycle I regret to say; the seas are overexploited and I find it hard to see how this will change.
